May 20, 2013

Yup I got attacked by a bird again this week... actually it was 3 times all in the same day! and really two of them were just potential attacks.. So I wake up in the morning feeling pretty good ya know it was gonna be a great day we were driving to San Angelo for Zone teaching what could go wrong? Well little did I know it would not be a very happy day because the birds were on the look out! As I was walking to the car my companions were behind me and I heard this devil noise coming from the sky! I look up and the bird had placed themselves right in front of the sun so I was blinded! Once I realized what was happening I booked it, I may have shed a tear or two.  my companions say it was "just two birds flying above me" yeah okay..... Then we were on the road and as I was looking at the scenery I saw 3 huge black looking flamingos standing on the side of the road just walking there! It was straight out of a horror film! Dont worry the third attack is coming. SO after Zone Trainning we went to Chik fil A in the mall ya know indoors should be safe from birds... NOPE! There were birds flying around inside the mall! Shoot dang it was scary!
Well on to more important matters like missionary work because even though birds attack me I still do work. So first we are teaching Ariel shes awesome! she is preparing for baptism and Im so excited for her. Her husband is a less active and they just had a little baby girl that is adorable!
But my favorite part of this week was we got to talk in a small branch in Commanchie (I cant spell) oh it was so fun! the building was so cute and tiny the chapel was the size of a normal relief society room. And the Relief society room was about 1/3 of that size! So my talk went great thanks to my public speaking teacher at LDSBC always forget her name! Anyway but the best part was in Relief Society!  So not including us there was about 4 ladies in there so we almost doubled it when we came. We had an awesome lesson about the temple and the spirit was super strong! At the end we sand the spirit of God and it was amazing! I really grew my testimony that God loves that little branch just as much as he loves a huge ward and that he cares for them so much! I grew to love them so so much and I hope we can go back there soon!
