Well this week has been exciting! MondayWednesday and Friday there were tornado warnings everywhere! Mondaythere was actually one in a area we cover so that was fun! So when I was little and watched that show about the Wal Mart baby when the lady dies in a tornado there is not rain so imagine my suprise when its raining cats and dogs and you cant see outside and thats tornado weather! Oh but I love it! it so exciting and the thunder and stuff I get giddy each time! and because there arent mountains and you can see forever way it can be sunny where you are and you can just see the storm slowly coming the BAM! its pouring rain! I love it so much!
So on the missionary side of things. We stalked a former investigator named Dusty and he is legit. He is super ready to be baptized and is doing such a great job preparing. He was living in hotels for a bit and he left a book of mormon in each room! He has some WoW problems right now but we are helping him with those and he should be getting baptized super soon so we are super excited!
For memorial day yesterday we had a blast! we wrote letters ALL day long! so really I was bored pretty quick and I didn't have stamps to write more so I watched church movies. But something hilariously terrible happened! So we were at a members house and a 84 year old ladyw as there and went to walk outside.. someone did not realize there was a glass door there! oh my hardest thing of my life keeping that laugh in! dont worry she was fine and laughed alittle about it. so alls good in the hood
Hope y'all are doing good! sorry there aren't more stories we are working on finding right now. LOVE YA!

 PICTURES!
So while we were stuck inside cause the storm we had a baking party and watched Mountain of the Lord (my favorite movie on the mission) sorry my eyes look scary... dont knwo what happened there...

Yup I got attacked by a bird again this week... actually it was 3 times all in the same day! and really two of them were just potential attacks.. So I wake up in the morning feeling pretty good ya know it was gonna be a great day we were driving to San Angelo for Zone teaching what could go wrong? Well little did I know it would not be a very happy day because the birds were on the look out! As I was walking to the car my companions were behind me and I heard this devil noise coming from the sky! I look up and the bird had placed themselves right in front of the sun so I was blinded! Once I realized what was happening I booked it, I may have shed a tear or two.  my companions say it was "just two birds flying above me" yeah okay..... Then we were on the road and as I was looking at the scenery I saw 3 huge black looking flamingos standing on the side of the road just walking there! It was straight out of a horror film! Dont worry the third attack is coming. SO after Zone Trainning we went to Chik fil A in the mall ya know indoors should be safe from birds... NOPE! There were birds flying around inside the mall! Shoot dang it was scary!
Well on to more important matters like missionary work because even though birds attack me I still do work. So first we are teaching Ariel shes awesome! she is preparing for baptism and Im so excited for her. Her husband is a less active and they just had a little baby girl that is adorable!
But my favorite part of this week was we got to talk in a small branch in Commanchie (I cant spell) oh it was so fun! the building was so cute and tiny the chapel was the size of a normal relief society room. And the Relief society room was about 1/3 of that size! So my talk went great thanks to my public speaking teacher at LDSBC always forget her name! Anyway but the best part was in Relief Society!  So not including us there was about 4 ladies in there so we almost doubled it when we came. We had an awesome lesson about the temple and the spirit was super strong! At the end we sand the spirit of God and it was amazing! I really grew my testimony that God loves that little branch just as much as he loves a huge ward and that he cares for them so much! I grew to love them so so much and I hope we can go back there soon!
Kenz told me to take more pictures so I have been here are a few from this week :)

1) forgot I was allergic to cats again...
2) My 9 month mark so I got a cake!
3) me and my comps by a old building... wish I had instagram!
4) how hot it was side note its humid here but they say it will only get worse YEAH!

Howdy y'all! oh it was so nice to talk to family yesterday! Its crazy how fast the time goes by when your on the phone! My companion was like make suer you have things to say to everyone so there is no awkward silences... obviously she doesn't understand how epically awesome our family is!
So im here in brownwood! oh gosh golly it is green here! I keep freaking out about it! When we look outside our appartment there is a hill full of tree's and we got a new car that smells like a rental car so I keep thinking im on vacation then I realize im not im a missionary which is even better!
I've only gotten to meet a few people here but they seem super nice! I guess technially its a ward but we think they are changing it to a branch because a few big families moved out and in sacrament there was like 50 people there! it was crazy small but I loves every second of it!
My new companions are awesome! Sis. Carr has the same sense of humor as Whit so that is awesome and Sis. Thomson laughs at my jokes so naturally I love them both! Im sick again so I will probably be eating a lot of popcicles this week cant wait for that!
Hope everything is going great where y'all are! dont forget to read your scriptures!
Oh also we were attacked by a moth this week! im convinced it was sent by the devil cause boy was that think attacking us! it just flew right into our appartment and started chasing us all! so warning brownwood moths are not nice!

May 6, 2013

Well let me tell y'all what it has been quite an eventful week! So me and my companion are leaving Canyon West and they are putting Elders here so now every appartment and area I have served in is now Elders.... so thats a little awkward... So im going to Brownwood which is sorta close to my first area so im super excited! im going to be in a trio with Sis. Carr who was trained by my trainer and Sis. Thompson who i've never met so im excited! Its more green there so im super pumped about that!
Im sad because the people we are workign with are taking huge steps right now! but I know its from God so it will all work out. This week Lubbock had a special Stake Conference and a member of the 70 came... I dont remember his name honestly but this was his first assignment. It was so great the whole meeting was focused on missionary work and family. We had an investigator there for the first time and we were worried because it was so much about missionary work but after she said. " ya know for a church that gets judged by so many people y'all are the least judgmental church I have ever been too!" I sometimes need to rememeber to not worry what they are thinking just focusing on helping them feel the spirit and she totally did! befor she was a little iffy about actually meeting with us and after church she was like sweet so when are we gonna do a lesson! it was so excitigng! We have been talking to her and her husband out side thier hosue for almost 3 months trying to get them to come!
Now for the sad part of the letter. So as you may remember I fainted a while back and hurt my knee.... So this week I had to go back to the doctors to get a steriod shot cause it still hurt. First I really hate shots there is nothing fun about them! So the doctor comes in with a needle that im sure is designed to kill a cow and then startes talking to me to distract me! Well that did not work! I knew exactly what he was doing! I was just looking at my companion like this is it im dying right now... little did I know it would only get worse! They told me that the next few days it would hurt a little but overall it would get better... so we went and cleaned a house for a less active lady and about half way thru it started hurting so bad! but I was like I'll finish then we can leave. so luckily I did... then we drove home... when we got home it hurt so bad I couldn't get out of the car or put any weight on it! so my companion had to basically carry me inside and let me tell ya she is one tiny girl and i am not! sot hat was fun! then I took some pain killers and the next hour was the worst pain of my life! i hated it! anyway now my knee is doing a lot better so I guess thats a plus but let me tell ya what I hate shots even more now!
Random fun fact of the day... I found out this week that the DC in washington DC stands for District of columbia....  I DID NOT KNOW THAT!
