Howdy! so im sorry to say but nothing happened with anyone we are teaching this week really..... Everyone cancelled our appointments... so we were knocking a lot! so this has provided me with many funny stories! But first Renee is getting baptized this week! She has had the flu all week so we only got to see her once at church... she had a huge fever and still came to church! she is so awesome and I know that she is a blessing for us as missionaries! Im super stoked cause this is the first of my baptisms I will be able to actually be at... unless I get Emergency Transfured this week... so lets all just pray for that not to happen to me! The one time we met with her though she said the cutest little prayer in the world! She was pretty much just like Hey im ready dont let satan hold me back I wanna do this. it was ADORBS! 
Anyway like I have said earlier everyone hated us this week and cancelled. But let me tell y'all about thursday cause that was the most eventful/worst day ever. So during morning studies we were planning for the 3 lessons we had that day. by 11 two of them had cancelled... so we knew it was just going to be a fantastic day! do we went out knocking... and guess what I found out by some guy yelling at us... im not christian and i've been brainwashed! it was really awkward as we were walking away I just turned around and said I just want you to know I do believe in Christ and all he did for us I hope you have a blessed day. so we kept knocking all day long! and we didn't find anyone that was interested! after dinner I said to sis. Zahrt ya know im not really in the mood to keep knocking lets go visit Patty. 
Patty is a former investigator that is in the hospital that we had been visiting. So we went there and thank heavens she is so nice and funny! after a very bad day she lifted our spirits right back up! while we were there her roommate that is 88 years old tried to climb into her bed alone. So Patty was yelling at her I have to go and stand in front of this old lady to make sure she didnt fall and Sis. Zahrt had to run and get a nurse! I almost had to sit on this lady. She was ready to go! it was hilarious! I was laughing so hard and didn't know what to do! 
Friday got better... it was weekly planning and I love weekly planning more than anyone should! you sit there for about 4 hours and plan your week! SO I was super excited about that! while we were planning all our appointments cancelled on us again so it was back to knockin! this is where the good stuff comes! SO we didn't finish the street the guy yelled at us on so we went back... and guess who was outside! But I said to myself I really hope he doesn't come to talk to us.... then guess who waved at us to come over... so we went on over and I was sitting there like Heavenly Father im gonna need your spirit now more than ever!  So we get there and he was really nice! he was like I just wanted to say sorry for yesterday I was up all night thinking about it and how wrong I was. I know we don't believe the same things but I shouldn't have treated y'all like that... I was super surprised! I was sitting there like holy cow holy cow what is going on! anyway we talked to him for about 15 minutes and he was telling us that we worshiped angel Moroni and all this stuff but it did it in a lot nicer way! 
So this week was not even close to being the best week ever.... But that just means that God has something freaking fantastic in store for us this week or maybe even in a month, but I cant wait! Sorry this was a debbie downer email but luckily we got the Lord on our side so really who is happier.... thats right y'all its us! I read a quote this week that really fit perfectly. Its from Pres. Richards at the BC! (REPRESENT!) "... Junks gonna happen to you, and if it doesn't happen, you may want to get down and ask Heavenly Father why he doesn't trust you enough to give you a mountain.." I liked it a lot! hope y'all are doing awesome up in Utah! I miss y'all like crazy and love hearing from y'all!

Sup my ladies and fellas! yeah I know what your thinking, shoot Sis. Rose is a straight up thug and thats just because I have been taking lessons! So we are working with this Less Active guy Josh he's super legit grew up in east LA or west... whatever one is the hood... anywho so he is in the hospital so we have been going to visit him and he has taught me some pretty thug stuff. For example when he was in Elementary school him and the girl that played Punky Brewster got into a fight. and Punky was like you got your bike and the pick and save. and Josh was like yeah well you got your face at a pick and save. So Thug lesson #1 your face jokes will always win in a fight. 
Anyway this week has been good. I was still sick untill about wednesday so I couldn't go out and work but im practically better now! So Jimmy the 83 yr old guy is doing amazing! With him I can really see how reading the Book Of Mormon is the key. He was reading a chapter a night but his neighbor thats a member was assigning him random chapters. We asked him to start from the start and read at least one chapter a night. well he was in 2 nephi a week later! We were able to talk really openly about baptism and we have never done that before. He really wants it to be true and is praying to get his answer so we are really excited for him. 
Also Renee! She's is just so legit. She is getting baptized on Feb. 2! it will be the first baptism of mine that I actually get to be at! Theres really not much more to say about her because she is just so perfect. She is reading, praying, coming to church is living all the commandments all without hessitation! its so awesome!!! 
Also I finally got my birthday package this week! I was so excited when I opened the first one and saw beef jerky and coconut... thats when I knew that y'all really knew me and loved me I almost started to tear up a bit... but then I opened the second one! and there were pictures and letters and just awesome stuff! Its embarrassing how long I was jumping up and down for actually.... 
Well ya mission life is going great! HAPPY MLK DAY!!!! go do something he would do! heaven knows im playing basketball... hope thats not racist :)

Hey there! So this week has been pretty crazy! It was transfer week and on Tuesday we had 6 sisters sleeping in our appartment! it was nuts! As many of you may have heard thursday was my birthday as well. Let me tell ya I was so excited about my birthday untill it got here then I remembered how much I dont like my birthday. haha Any way my companion and another set of sisters decided to go to texas road house for my dinner. I have never been more scared in my life! For those of you who dont know my baby sister cassi likes to tell them its your birthday so you have to ride a stupid saddle! I forgot this untill the moment we walked in what they were going to make me do. all during dinner everytime I heard all those waiters start clapping I would book it to the bathroom so I wouldn't  have to sit on the stupid saddle. then the waiter came over and my companion told him and I just looked at him and said please dont make me sit on the saddle.... and he was like dont worry I think its stupid too! So blessin from above I didn't have to sit on the saddle! 
So this week we started meeting with Renae, her and her husband are super into family history and usually when we go over he will talk none stop for like I dont know 2 hours.... but seriously you cant get a word in. anyway he is out of town so we have finally been able to teach her. and she loves it! She has a bap date for Feb. and already asked to have work off on sundays and everything! She is really the only person I have been able to meet with this week because since thursday I have had a really bad cold and 3 of our investigators got out of the hospital this week so we didn't want to get them sick again so I went on splits with the other sisters. So that has been a little fun. So yeah this week wasn't too eventfull... sorry this email is boring. 
Oh my one more thing! so Renae couldn't go to our ward this week so she went to the YSA ward. the bishop there must love to make people feel great about themselves because the 3 speakers that spoke were given the topic of what they learned in the YSA wards, but why were they picked? oh just cause they were are turning 31 this month... So instead of just feeling bad they didn't get married the bishop the nice guy he is had them stand up in front of the whole ward and give a talk on it! isn't that just the nicest thing ever!

Howdy y'all! if ya cant tell im totally texan! but not really. So sorry last week's letter was really lame.... So I have a few fantastic stories for y'all! So we got transfer calls this weekend. IM STYAIN IN LUBBOCK!!! with Sis. Zarht. im super excited to still be working with the same people cause we have got a lot of legit people we are working with! 
So first! this  less active member Josh. He is super chill and just awesome. He just wants to get married and have babies. He hasn't been to church since he was like 12 and he is 35 now. He really wants to know if its true and all that jazz so we are hoping to help him. Apparently God has also sent me here to Texas to inform people about twitter. I dont bring it up but everyone always has questions and I have the answers. So while we were at his house eating Dinner I taught them all about the hashtag and how to use it correctly. Well long story short this made it so Josh wanted to come to #church so he could take a picture and use the #. So yeah twitter does help the word! 
next we have the Serrano family. So we thought they were out of town and we called to see how they were doing and turns out the mom has been in lubbock in the hospital the past few days! It was so sad! we went and visited them and she asked for a blessing. They said they kept wanting to call us but they couldn't find her number. Then the mom was like and I kept praying to get out early so I could surprise y'all at church! yea I know what your thinking, they are so adorbs! thats exactly what I was thinking too! I just love this family so much and I cant wait to see the blessings they will receive in their lives. 
We knocked into another family this week. Derek and Shanda are brother and sister and Alexis is Shanda's daughter. So they are really super intrested and we had a fantastic lesson with them. The only problem is... they really love their weed... 
Also Jimmy! the 83 year old guy we're teaching! he is just so adorable I just wanna kid nap him! this week he taught us how to make cake in a cup! Courtney would love it!!! i'll have to make it for y'all when I get home! 
So who wants to hear the most awkward hilarious thing ever? Okay I'll tell ya! so there is this guy in our ward that doesn't have hands.... but his name is Brother Stubbs.... I know its hilarious! then my companion was like I wanna shake um... So she went up and totally shook his hook things! it was hilarious! 
Well im going to try to upload a video of birds attacking us.... but before i do! the lesson I learned from the book of mormon this week! One of the many of course! So Im reading the war chapters and its hard to get stuff out of them but I did! I learned that Moroni is a super classy guy... and I need to be more classy!

Howdy thurr! sounds like Y'all are doing fantastic! talking to y'all on christmas was amazing! to everyone who didn't talk to me sorry you really missed out... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! So this week was pretty fun cause you know Christmas! Thanks y'all for the cards and gifts they were amazing and a great help! So a few things happened this week. We had a great lesson with the Serranos but they went out of town untill the 7th of January!!! Its stinks! but they are still doing awesome!

So who wants to hear a Christmas miracle!! So it was actually on Wednesday. So we were having our lunch break and I was super tired so I was like im just gonna nap and my companions decided to do the same. So I was in bed and the spirit was like... umm hey Sis. Rose you should better call Betty.... So I did. and she was like hey cant talk right now could I call you back. And I was like yeah sure! so I was sittin there waiting for her to call us back and all the sudden I heard a bunch of water in the bath room! and I was like thats weird... so I go in and our bathroom was flooding! So I went out and said hey umm sisters our bathroom is flooding.... then they came in and it was bad! like the floor mat was floating on the water! It was crazy! anyway so it really was a blessing that a was prompted to call betty cause if I didn't it would have gotten a lot worse! It crazy to see how the Lord even protects you from things like your bathroom being ruined and things like that!

It was a pretty crazy week and all our investigators went out of town so we knocked most the time and nothing to exciting happened with that... but lets be honest it was also one of the best weeks because I got to skype with family! I love y'all so much and really am so gratefull for the spport I get from everyone! Oh PS congrats on making in thru 2012! how embarassing for them folks that thought we were gonna die....
