Howdy! side note howdy just comes out now, I dont have to force it but I realize I dont sound texan still just like an idiot...

anywho! This we was great! so my companion was sick with the flu on thursday but we had a lesson with this lady that can only see us every two weeks so we really didn't want to cancel so we went on splits with some other sisters in Lubbock and let me tell you what that was a blessing from above! During the lesson we taught how God loves us individually because the lady we are teaching thinks he is just the creature and doesnt actually care about what we do. Little did I know that the sister that came with me Sis Olsen has a boss testimony on how God knows and loves each of us! so needless to say as she was baring her testimony the spirit was there confirming to the lady that God does love and care about each of us!

Also we are still working with a lot of less active memeber and they are making great progress! One family has come to church 3 weeks in a row! thats huge! and the Other family is starting to realize that everytime they read the scriptures that they can feel the spirit more in their home. It really is amazing to see how the gospel really can completely change someones life!

So this week I didn't get attacked by birds but by spiders! So we were sitting there talking one night on the phone with our district leader and all the sudden sister peterson starts screaming! there was a huge spider! it looked like a black widow and daddy long leg got together to make a devil child spider! oh my gosh it was huge! so im standing on the counter screaming my companion is on the couch screaming and our district leader is on the phone trying to make sure everything was okay! it was insane! luckily my companion got enough courage to kill it but i'll tell you what there was nothing good about that spider it had to have been from satan!

Hey y'all first off like to give a shout out to my #1 blog fan Sis. Lao! I slept with my name tag on last night just for you!
For the rest of y'all this week has been great! a lot of knocking but heavens knows how much I love knocking! We found a few peolpe that seemed semi intrested so we are trying them back this week and hopefully at least one will want to see us. One of the people we knocked into was Lonie he said we could come back saturday so we got a young women in our ward to come with us because she is wanting to go on a mission. When we got there they were all out on the porch saw us and walked inside then didn't answer the door.... it was a lovely first missionary experience for her! We told her that all missionary work is spiritually awkie.
We also went on exchanges this week I went with Sis. Dunham she has only been out a little over a month so it was so nice to be with a new missionary that still had such excitment for the work. i mean I love it and get excited about it but it was nice to be around her to get my excitment even more. While on exchanges we were able to meet a guy that had no legs. He was super nice and fun to talk to. We ended up teaching the Restoration and the whole time he was like amen to that! over and over again then after he just bashed us so that was nice and awkward... but he said he would check out mormon. org so over all he's closer to the truth then he was the day before so cant complain!
We got a referral this week and it took us to come creepy motel so we went inside and I said to myself... what the! this smells so familiar I knew the smell and missed the smell but I also knew I didn't like it and it was making me sick. Then the manager came after talking with him for a while he mentioned he was from Napal. I was like YES! it smells like the napalies houses! I was so excited when we got in the car I almost started crying... my companion thought I was a loon!
So that was my week.... Overall it was fantastic!

Hey y'all! so this week has been super amazing! my companion was sick for a few days so that wasn't fun but inbetween we had some really good lessons! First we went over to a lady who used to be taughts house name Aurora. It was such a great lesson! WE had been praying what member to bring with us and a lady in our ward came to mind we called her up and she was more than willing to come. We didn't know what ot expect when we got there really but we knew that we wanted to teach the Plan of Salvation. It was so amazing! The member and Aurora hit it off right away and during the lesson we found out that they had gone through much of the same trials with being a single parent and stuff. It is amazing how the spirit really can tell us exactly what we need and when we need it to help the investigators out.

 

Also this week James got baptized!!!! can I get a yeah yeah!! woot woot! He really is just amazing! he is already telling all his friends about hte church and is trying to get them to meet with us! He invited all his facebook friends to the baptism he was so excited about it! The best part of the mission really is seeing someone you have come to love become so much happier through the gospel. and I know that the gospel is the only thing that can bring true happiness. One thing that James has taught me is if you know its true then nothing else really matters. His whole family is completly against the church but he knows that its true and that baptism was the hext step for him.

 

We also had another cool experience this week in Zone Training. We were talkign about inspired planning and how when we are planning our day we really need to let the spirit guid us so we can be where we need to be. one of the activites we did was to go and pray adn see if we needed to change any plans that day. So as me and my companion were praying we decided that we did need to change thema  little bit and go visit a part member family. So later that day we stoped by. ti was amazing! it was the Dads birthday so it was the only day that the whole family was there all at once! we were able to talk with them for a little bit and the dad really opened up to us. in lessons before with other missionaries he would just sit there and not answer any questions but this time he was super open about everything! so that was a huge step! Im so glad we were able to follow the spirit and see how it will bless them and us as missionaries.

 

Im trying to think of a funny story for y'all this week but I dont really have much.... but I got a nice little love story!  So my recent convert Kurt came to conference at the church on sunday and met a lady in our ward named Tonya.... well they got to talking and when we drove by the church 2 hours later they were still there talking! so obviously we decided they were in love. So we went to visit Tonya on saturday to go over her mission plan but it ended up her telling us that they have talked for like 5 hours on the phone everynight and they are going on a date and everything! oh it is so adorable!

So this is going to be a short letter because my hand is tired today and I cant really type a lot. but let me tell you how awesome fasting is! so this week James's mom said that he could no longer be baptized... saddest day ever I know I cried! So we decided that us James and the family he is living with would fast for his mom's heart to be softened we decided to fast on Wednesday for breakfast and lunch. by 10 am he texted us saying his mom said yes! it was so awesome! such a great testimony builder on faith and fasting! also wanna hear an akward experience with James... okay I'll tell yea! so He came to a baptism this weekend and there were'nt enough chairs so my companion went in and sat down and asked the people behind her if we could sit there... she waved us in and when we got there there was only one chair... so we shared... and it was akward... luckily half way through a chair opened up so I booked it over there! most awkie slash hilarious thing of the week!

Oh my another eventful story! so as we were visiting a Less Active... I fell! and hurt my whole left leg! can hardly walk! I'll try to send a picture!

But the most eventful thing this week.... CONFERENCE! holy cow holy cow! I love that stuff! Its so amazing that every talk can apply to you! even if your a missionary a talk about raising a family can still apply! I really liked Sis. Dalton I think it was talk in teh first session its always nice to hear how much worth we each have and that we are sons and daughters of God. It reminded me of my favorite book at home Daughter of a King, great read! it a nice picture book Mom and Dad gave me when I was 13 I think... they know me so well to still give me picture books on Christmas :) but seriously its awesome. again sorry this is short! I guess not as bad as last week when half the email was about a cloud... speaking of.. heres some pictures!

thats awesome! I got your card in the mail this week. I loved the letters from the mission president! it really was super nice! and the money helped me out a lot! I dont want you to worry but I figure I should tell you... so last night we were at a house and I fainted... they think its cause I was fasting all day then when I ate it made my blood sugar god wacko. Anyway when I fell I hurt my knee and ankle pretty bad. So im on crutches the next day or two hopefully its just a sprain or something. But seriously dont worry Im fine now just in a little pain. so that money helped me buy ace bandages :) When I woke up I was very upset cause they kept telling me how pale I was and I was just thinkin I have worked very hard for this tan!

Hope y'all had a hoppy easter! oh nothing brings me so much joy at stupid puns. Easter was great here! we dyed some eggs went to church knocked on doors held a bunny ya know just another sunday on the mission. 

This week really has been awesome! so last Sunday James showed up at church with a family in our ward and said he wanted to meet with us monday. So we went over and he is super legit! we set a bapdate for april 13 and he has wanted us to come over every night since to teach him all the lessons! His family is super Anti and is really upset he has chosen to be baptized but you can see how much he loves this gospel and doesn't really care about much else! he is a great example to me of faith knowing that the Lord will help him along the way. This week at church he was begging if he could get baptized this week end but because of conference it may be to difficult so we told him we would ask but he would probably have to wait and he was like man I have to wait another week! haha he is so ready and loves the gospel so much. We are running out of things to teach him so that should be fun to see what we come up with for the next 2 weeks. 

All our other investigators are still doing good but nothing too exciting sorry! We got our first 19 yr old sister this transfer! oh she is adorable! she's from Draper so pretty much we are best friends! 

Oh my Im so excited about General Conference! I think on the mission its like 1000 times better! I totally took advantage of it in Utah cause you get to watch it at home. Here a lot of people go to the church building to watch it. I have to say I like it better at home cause I can be in my footie pajamas but thats just one sacrifice I have had to make. dont worry y'all its totally worth it! 

SO before I forget! there was the coolest cloud in the world the other day! dont worry I got pictures of it! I couldn't stop talking about it my companion was about to hit me I swear! but seriously it was the coolest cloud I have ever seen! My companion was also sick this week so we were inside for a day or two so that may have been the reason I was so excited about the cloud! 

Happy April Fools day BTW! I love that its on a P-day cause now we can play pranks on the Elders! we already did one this morning but they sorta caught us so that was awkie BUT! we have more planned for later so it should be a hoot and a half! Sorry this letter is short! but here's a picture of the worlds coolest cloud!
